Payment Procedures:
Tuition will be due on Friday of each week
for the following week by drop off time. Payments are late at the end of the day at pick up time. A late fee of
$10 per day will be charged until the tuition's paid including weekends. If you are on vacation payment is due before you
leave. If it is my planned day off it is due the day before.
Repeated late payments may be grounds for termination.
I ask you to consider how you would feel if your employer came to you on payday and told you that your paycheck would be delayed.
Please don't put me in this uncomfortable position of having to ask for tuition payments and late fees repeatedly again. You
will be given a 30 day's notice of any increases in your childcare fee's I typically raise my rates approximately once every
2 years. Tuition is preferred in the form of cash, money orders and cashiers checks. Subsequent payments will need to be made
in cash or money order.
In order to provide my own family with stable
financial situation, I cannot offer any discounts for day's your child is not in my care, such as when you are on vacation,
days when your child is ill, or other days when you choose not to bring your child. Although I realize childcare is a
major expense for most working parents, I also rely on this business to help support my own family. Since I will be holding
your child's space for you to use at will, I need to charge for full-time care whether you use it or not. Certain
exceptions may be made at my discretion for extreme circumstances.
Child care fees:
Child Care Fees Include: After questions from families
in the community who are currently looking for child care, I decided to take a few minutes and help families to realize what
all is included in what you pay for when it comes to child care. I hope this is helpful.
What you pay to the child care provider will
guarantee highest quality childcare, nutritious meals & snacks, and a safe, nurturing environment for your child. Your
childcare fees provide my income including the taxes and the social security, which I pay in.
Your fees pay for my training so that I am updated on
new guidelines when caring for your child, food, paper products, soap and cleaning supplies, first aid training
and supplies, toys, play equipment, baby equipment, art&craft supplies, water, oil, electric, sewer and more, special
chairs & furniture, strollers, lots of repairs and wear and tear, entertainment expenses, paperwork & supplies, parties
and special events, and all of the other things that your child will use.
For children over age 1 it also pays for a preschool
supplies as well. Like other self-employed workers, Family Childcare providers do not receive the benefits many employees
take for granted. These include health/dental insurance, life insurance, retirement/pension, paid personal days, workers comp,
flexible time off and unemployment insurance.
These benefits often amount to as much as 35% of a person's
wages. Family child care is a blessing to your family in that your children will have much more individual attention and opportunities
for learning, and much less illness than center care. Unlike other forms of self-employment family childcare is very restrictive
in that there is no room for growth.
The state dictates the size of my business. I cannot
take time off for appointments or obligations without careful planning and making sure I cover my responsibilities. To
protect my rights and income, you will find that a guaranteed wage is part of my contract. To protect precious time with my
family you will find early / late fee's in this contract. Most people have a 40-hour workweek.
Mine is 55 hours and up and that does not include my
training, preparation, bookkeeping, paperwork, shopping or cleaning time. I really do not want the extra fees, but it is imperative
that you understand my responsibilities to my family, and my own children as well.
I hope this gives you a better understanding about
all the ways in which your tuition fees are applied. Thank
you,
Mrs. Parrish
